Sally Walker grew up surrounded by animals. Chickens, rabbits, dogs and cats, fish, and hamsters were her companions. Loving animals, she gravitated toward zoology in college. She discovered immediately she was better at drawing animals than studying them. So began her artistic career as a scientific illustrator. Then life intervened and she spent 30 years in the fishing industry. Now that she has retired and been lucky enough to move to Orcas Island, she has returned to her favorite thing- creating art! By chance, she discovered the wonderful tool computers can be in the process and have been using hers wholeheartedly for pet portraits for years. She hopes to continue doing just thisfor years to come!
