For July's ‘Art In the Library’ exhibit, the Orcas Island Library will feature the work of Lori Fast. Lori's work includes figurative drawings in pastel and charcoal.

A former ballet dancer, Lori’s work captures a sense of movement and the energy of the human body.  Much of her inspiration was drawn from travels across Europe, Russia, Canada and the US, sketching from life to quickly capture a gesture or mood.

Lori moved to Orcas Island in 2006 and passed away in December 2024. We are grateful to her family for allowing us to share her work with our community.
